At Ash and Teak, every piece begins with a belief:
furniture should be as individual as the space it
inhabits. We create bespoke designs, tailored inch
to inch, handcrafted by artisans, and built to endure.
Our aesthetic is rooted in quiet luxury that is minimal,
timeless, and deeply functional. With an unwavering
focus on detail, our work elevates interiors into spaces
that feel both stylish and personal.
Ash and Teak was founded in 2006 to fill a gap in India’s
furniture landscape. At the time, most options were either
mass imports with little character or carpentry without
refined finish. We set out to change that.
What began as a small studio is today a boutique brand
known for bespoke, made-to-order furniture. Always
designed from scratch, always finished by hand. Over time,
our offering has grown to include accessories and curated
art, but our ethos remains the same: design with intention,
craft with care, and create pieces as unique as the people
who live with them.
Vishakha is trained as an architect, giving her a strong
grounding in space, proportion, and function. But her
instinct has always been led by aesthetics and detail
—the small things that quietly transform a space.
In 2006, she started Ash and Teak with a simple idea:
furniture in India should be as custom and well-made
as the spaces it belongs to. Since then, she’s grown
the brand steadily, balancing her roles as designer,
entrepreneur, and mother. What defines her is not
just vision, but the belief that every piece deserves
to be done right, no shortcuts. That energy and
clarity run through everything Ash and Teak creates.
